For All Events

  • Absolutely!

Weddings: All packages include a travel radius: 25 km for the Legals Only package and 50 km for the Intermediate and Platinum packages. Beyond these distances, an additional fee of 85c per km (based on the ATO rate in March 2024) applies and will be confirmed during the consultation.

Events: Similar travel conditions apply to events, with details provided at the time of inquiry.

  • Whether you’re after a themed look, a specific colour palette, or a formal or casual dress code, I’ve got you covered. I’ll make sure my attire perfectly suits your occasion. After all, the last thing you need is an MC in a bright red suit clashing with your neutral-toned wedding photos or carefully curated event theme.

  • Yes, all my packages include access to my personal PA system.

While it's typically essential for ceremonies and events, it's not usually needed for the Legals Only option. However, I'm always happy to accommodate your specific needs.

  • Every event is unique, with varying durations, locations, and specific requirements. To ensure an accurate and tailored quote, I take the time to understand your needs and expectations. Let’s discuss your event, and we’ll work together to determine the best pricing for you.

  • Yes, if you're getting legally married in Australia, you must have a registered marriage celebrant. Learn more here: https://www.ag.gov.au/families-and-marriage/marriage/get-married#rules-to-get-married-in-australia

As your celebrant, I handle all the legal requirements so you can focus on enjoying your special day. Planning a wedding can be time-consuming, but I ensure the process is smooth and stress-free.

If you'd like to include special people in your ceremony to make the moment even more meaningful, we can work together to incorporate them into your big day. Let’s create a wedding that truly reflects your love story!

  • Yes! This package is called ‘Elope and Go. It’s a simple, no-fuss option that can take place at any location of your choice. All that’s needed are two witnesses, the two of you, and me as your celebrant to officiate and handle the paperwork. It’s a straightforward way to make it official!

  • I’d be thrilled to MC your wedding!

MC services are included in the platinum package and it is a service that I approach with the same care as your ceremony.

  • You've spent months, maybe years, planning this day. The last thing you want is to worry about timing, transitions, or keeping your guests entertained. That’s where I come in.

As your MC, I will create a rhythm that lets you newlyweds and your guests enjoy a well structured, professional evening (of course, with laughs and fun).

A great MC knows how to read the room, match the energy, and strike the perfect balance between excitement and those heartfelt, meaningful moments. That’s exactly what you’ll get with Rocket Weddings.

Here’s what I’ll take care of:

    • Announcing key moments

    • Keeping the reception on track

    • Getting the dance floor going

    • Coordinating vendors

    • Guiding the guests

Legal Bits

  • To legally marry in Australia, here’s what you’ll need to know:

    • Both people must be at least 18 years old, though court approval can sometimes be granted in special cases for those between 16 and 18.

    • Neither person can be legally married to someone else.

    • You cannot marry close family members, such as a sibling, parent, grandparent, child, or grandchild.

    • Both parties must understand the nature of marriage and freely consent to it.

These requirements ensure that all marriages in Australia are entered into with clarity and mutual agreement.

  • You need to provide me with the following :

    • Original of Birth Certificate or Passport to validate your date and place of birth

    • Original Photo ID, such as state driver’s license or passport

    • Divorce or death certificate if you’ve been married before

  • Yes, you do! A Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be completed and submitted to a wedding celebrant (that’s me!) at least one month before your wedding date, and no more than 18 months in advance.

If you can’t provide one month’s notice, you may apply for special approval through your state’s Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registry, but this is only allowed in specific and rare circumstances.

  • Both you and your partner need to sign the NOIM. If one of you can’t sign it in person (due to reasons like travel or accessibility), your signature must be witnessed by an authorised person. This could be a registered marriage celebrant (like me) or someone else listed on page 4 of the NOIM, such as a Justice of the Peace, a doctor, or a lawyer.

Before your ceremony, both of you will need to sign the NOIM again, this time in front of me as your celebrant. The completed form must be lodged with me at least one month before your wedding date.

Don’t worry, I'll guide you through the whole process to make it simple and stress-free!

  • On the day of the ceremony, both parties and their chosen witnesses must sign three copies of the Marriage Certificate, which the celebrant will also sign. Following the ceremony, I, as the celebrant, am responsible for lodging all signed paperwork within 14 days.

  • As your celebrant, I am required to hear your legal vows, along with your partner and witnesses, as specified under Section 45 of the Marriage Act.

A sample vow is: “I ask the persons here present to witness that I, (your legal name), take you, (partner's legal name), to be my lawful wedded husband/wife/spouse/partner in marriage.”

You may say “I do” following this, and we can incorporate it smoothly into your ceremony script.

  • This is something I can not help with as your Wedding Celebrant. Legally, the person changing their name needs to do this. You can do this through a service called ‘Easy Name Change’. This website streamlines the process so it is stress-free and easy. Click the link below: https://www.easynamechange.com/au/?ref=yjy2otkj
